Derby

Okay so, I arrived safely in Derby...... but 2 weeks ago!
I didn't have access to internet that much but I finally found some time to do a post.
Oh well, anyway. So everything went well. I managed to get through with over-weight luggage (I worried a lot about that). The flight was about an hour, so that went quite quick.
Here are some photos of the trip.

Little surprise when we got to the house. Thank you Anja :)

I gave out my CV to about 20 places by now... maybe more, I don't even know anymore. Stores, cafés and restaurants, in and near the Westfield mall and also via the internet. I'm really hoping to hear from one of these places soon!

On Saturday, the 29th of May, my brother and I went with Anja, her fiancé and a friend of theirs to the Big Church Day Out near Loughborough. It was amazing! I had a really good time. I was so happy to see Switchfoot! =)

So yeah, that's about it... I've been mainly job hunting. Now I'm just waiting for at least one response!
Wish me luck :)

No turning back now

My brother (Karl) and I, have finally booked our aeroplane tickets!!! I'm so excited! We will be flying with Bmibaby on the 19th of May from Paris to the East Midlands. When I saw the huge "Confirmed", that's when my heart started beating and I realised... No turning back now! I am really going to work and live in England!

“Hope is not a dream but a way of making dreams become reality.”

I love singing. Becoming a singer has always been my dream, ever since I was a little girl.

I'm not very good at putting up new videos on youtube because it always takes me ages to make one. There's always something I don't like and I have to do the whole thing all over again. It just goes on for hours. I get so frustrated and angry with myself that I just can't finish! I guess I'm a perfectionnist when it comes to music... which doesn't seem to be such a good thing!

I've had 2 producers very interested in me, but it's always been so slow.
The first one was in Germany. I was 15 then and he was just stringing me along for years. I eventually just gave up.
The second one is in Paris. It's been going on for a year now.
He tells me he wants to first finish the projects he's busy with and then start something with me, but it's taking ages. I just can't afford to sit around and wait anymore. I have to get on with my life. Besides, the world isn't lacking producers... Eventually one day I will find the right one. At least I hope I will.

“You can't just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream. You've got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.” ~ Diana Ross

I participate in singing competitions on the internet whenever I can but there aren't many. I've only done 2 so far, but have won both. :)
The first one was in 2007, on the website of the biggest radio station in France, "NRJ", and I won 5 000 euros. I just had to make a video of myself singing 30 seconds of the song "Listen" by Beyoncé. The second one was in 2009 and also on the website of "NRJ". I had to do another video of myself singing a song of my choice. I won a Nintendo Wii.

So, there you know a little bit more about meee :)

I have now entered the world of blogging...

...Or should I say, "re-entered" the world of blogging.
I had 2 or 3 blogs when I was a few years younger, but it was more of a picture gallery than anything else... aaand a great place to have fights and receive anonymous insults through comments. x)
I deleted them in time.

This one will be different.

I thought this time I would make a blog about my life and anything that comes to my mind really...

I'm soon leaving France again to discover another country... England!

I was there twice (if you can count the second time). First time was a 5-day school trip and the second time was a 1-day trip with my Dad. We had to go pick up some machine he bought on ebay. I don't know how many hours we drove that day, but on top of it I was sick, so that made it even better. -_-"

I've decided to leave France again because I'm so totally miserable here... again!
We live in a freakin' hole and I can't find a job anywhere in this miserable place. *sob*

Sooo, since my half-sister, Anja, and her fiancé are living in England near Nottingham, I'm going there. She's gonna help me get started... I should be leaving in a month or so.
I'm really excited, but kinda freaked out too.

The initial plan was to go to London with my brother, but instead I'll be going ahead, and starting out near (or in) Nottingham, getting a job and an apartment. Then my brother will be coming over if he doesn't find a job in France.
I'm really, really grateful that Anja has offered to help... I'm sure, at some point, I would've gotten myself into some kind of mess like usual.

I really hope this is going to work out.
